Frequently asked questions about 360-degree feedback
Is 360-degree feedback anonymous?
Our Basic feedback reports, intended for individual use, are always non-anonymous: individual scores are revealed with attribution.
Commercial users utilising our Premium and Pro pricing tiers can choose whether their feedback reports will display the identities of the respondents and if individual scores can be linked back to them.
There are 3 options:
- Non-anonymous report.
In a non-anonymous feedback report, individual scores are revealed with attribution.
- (Semi) anonymous report with a list of participants.
This report type contains average scores per participant category. For example, an average score of 5 colleagues. As long as multiple participants were assigned to a category, individual scores cannot be derived from such a group average. The scores are therefore anonymous. However, the report does contain a list of participants, allowing the subject to see who took part. Consequently, we named this evaluation type 'semi-anonymous'. - Anonymous report without a list of participants.
This report type also presents average scores per category. Due to the absence of a participant list, it is impossible to determine who provided feedback through the report. Consequently, this is the most anonymous type of assessment.
Transparency for participants
It is essential to inform participants in advance whether their individual scores will be disclosed. Our tool automatically informs participants about the extent to which their feedback is anonymous.
