The process of a
360-degree feedback evaluation

A sneak peek into the process of an individual receiving feedback from multiple feedback providers, followed by the presentation of the results in a report.

We identify three roles:



Administrator

The feedback guru within your organisation, overseeing the process and setting the guidelines.



Test subject

The focal participant of the survey;
the person being assessed.



Feedback providers

Those providing feedback, categorised into groups, such as Peers, Employees, and Managers.

The process of a feedback evaluation:

Establishing the guidelines

Initially, the administrator sets up the workflow by configuring various key preferences.
This includes:

  • Choosing which questionnaires and scoring options to use.
  • Determining whether feedback will be handled anonymously or with attribution.
  • Specifying the recipients of the reports.

Clear communication

The administrator is also responsible for overseeing communication within the organisation prior to the assessments. This includes ensuring that:

  • The upcoming participants understand the methodology.
  • Everyone is clear on the purpose of the method.
  • Rights are clearly outlined, such as the option to decline participation or address any concerns about feedback received.

Initiate assessments

After preferences have been integrated into the tool and participants have been notified, the 360-degree assessments can commence. The administrator enters the following details into the tool:

  • The test subject's gender, name and email address.
  • The competencies or specific areas for feedback. (Alternatively, the feedback receiver can select these.)
  • The feedback providers. (Alternatively, the feedback receiver can add them.)
  • The deadline for submission.

Self-assessment

The subject receives an email invitation and logs into the online feedback platform. Depending on the settings, the feedback receiver can:

  • Select competencies. (Optional: the administrator may have already selected them.)
  • Add feedback providers. (Optional: the administrator may have already decided who participates.)
  • Complete the self-assessment questionnaire.

Peer evaluation

The feedback providers will also receive an invitation email and will log into the feedback platform, where they:

  • Are notified whether their feedback will be handled anonymously or with attribution.
  • Can evaluate different themes and statements by assigning scores and potentially offering explanations.
  • Respond to open-ended questions regarding the subject's performance.

360º feedback report

The administrator monitors the progress of the feedback assessment within the system. Automatic reminders are sent to participants who do not respond in a timely manner. Once all responses are collected, a feedback report is generated, which includes:

  • A comparative analysis of self-assessment and external feedback.
  • Detailed scores per theme, per statement, and per participant category.
  • Recommendations provided by participants and responses to open-ended questions.
  • Possible development tips and/or self-reflection questions/assignments.

Continuous feedback

Our 360º feedback reports offer a comprehensive snapshot of performance at a specific moment in time. By regularly soliciting feedback, you can identify patterns and trends over time. Our software enables you to continuously monitorprogress by comparing past and current feedback in follow-up reports, making growth measurable and actionable.

Group analysis

In addition to conducting individual 360º feedback evaluations, you can also aggregate the data from multiple reports intoa 'group analysis'. This approach enables a broader examination of feedback trends and patterns across a group or team, rather than solely focusing on individual assessments.
